Aviation Universal Charger

Due: September 5, 2024

The purpose of this RFS is to solicit innovative proposals for fieldable, deployable, functional way to maintain, analyze, charge, and discharge the legacy and future aviation batteries.

A three phased approach is preferred. The first phase takes the project through preliminary design review and closeout. This first phase should include identifying the necessary requirements and designing a universal aviation charger. The government team will identify many of the necessary requirements in the Statement of Need. It is expected the Government and the vendor will collaborate in this first phase.  The second phase ends with critical design review and close out. This second phase should include finalizing the design and limited testing along with providing at least one prototype. Third year is prototypes and testing.

Responding to this opportunity requires membership in the Expeditionary Missions Consortium – Crane (EMC2). This Consortium releases numerous solicitations throughout the year, so even if this opportunity may not end up being right for you, we strongly encourage you to join, so you are ready for the next opportunity.
