Remote Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Robotic Drill

Due: July 12, 2024

This special notice is to inform vendors of an upcoming Request for Solutions (RFS). NSWC Crane Division is seeking solutions to prototype novel EOD remote drilling robot that is man portable, and man emplaced with the capability to perform drilling on a variety of targets. The ability for the EOD Robot to be man portable and man emplaced, while retaining the ability to drill multiple holes on a variety of targets remotely will increase the warfighter’s survivability during EOD operations. This includes the need for processes, people, and technologies to achieve mission objectives. Current technology does not meet the size, weight, and power requirements or remote capability required for modern EOD operations.

Responding to this opportunity requires membership in the Expeditionary Missions Consortium. This Consortium releases numerous solicitations throughout the year, so even if this opportunity may not end up being right for you, we strongly encourage you to join, so you are ready for the next opportunity.
