The USGS (United States Geological Survey) is offering a funding opportunity to a CESU (Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Units) partner for research in conducting research on Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). The overall goal is to determine the molecular mechanisms that drive the accumulation of PFAS (Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) in fish. This is a major concern for fisheries across the United States that are affected by PFAS (Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) in surface waters. This research aligns with administrative priorities to make our Nation’s resources, such as sport fisheries, safer and better.
