Low-Profile Radiation Surveillance (LPRS) System

Due: November 5, 2024

In conjunction with the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (JPEO-CBRND), the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Threat Reduction and Arms Control (ODASD-TRAC) is seeking innovative prototype solutions to enable Special Operations Forces (SOF) to locate and identify radiological or nuclear (R/N) risks. The LPRS requirements prioritize maximum tactical flexibility to enable SOF operators to wear a low-profile gamma/neutron detection system that alerts them to R/N hazard directionality via a hands-free setup. The successful prototypes will be low-profile to avoid encumbering operators with bulky detection gear and will offer on-board data storage options as well as encrypted, real-time data transmission capabilities.

This opportunity requires membership in the Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Consortium. This Consortium releases numerous opportunities throughout the year, so even if this one may not be right for you, we strongly encourage you to join the consortium so you are ready for the next opportunity.

Complete the form below and a program representative will reach out to you shortly to support you through the process.
