Helicopter forward arming and refueling point (FARP) operations are inefficient, resulting in extended periods of aircraft unavailability, leaving ground combat teams without support — putting them in tremendous danger. And, the longer FARPs/personnel remain stationary to conduct these operations, the more vulnerable they become to enemy attack. The Army is interested in solutions that expedite use of vehicles or equipment, decrease fueling times, improve existing FARP equipment, or decrease wait times.
