Due: August 19, 2024
The Defense Threat Reduction Agency Research and Development (DTRA-RD) Directorate, Nuclear Detection Division (NTD) develops and transitions state-of-the-art radiation detection technologies to Department of Defense operational users. NTD recently adopted a modular, family-of-systems approach to research and development, resulting in a significant increase in technology transition. These capabilities underpin advances in radiation detection sub-components including, but not limited to electronics, semiconductor materials, scintillator materials, and new software and algorithms to provide actionable information to users.
