DTRA RD-CXN seeks new approaches to augment the suite of tools available to end users conducting environmental monitoring and sampling. The desired end-state capability is a software prototype that shall facilitate the precise design and engineering of microbial consortia or enzymes with targeted metabolic properties, informed by a mechanistic understanding of the pathways essential for degrading niche materials (e.g. metals and minerals).
